Cub Scout Family Camping Trip!
The kids playing cards at our campsite.

This weekend we went on the Pack 255 Family Camp Out. We invaded the Stockton KOA and had a blast! The kids are a fun age when they can buddy up with friends and explore. Saturday morning Rachael and I joined our friends Andrea and Holly to help with the tie-dyeing activity. Allen and the other kids rotated through tie dying, badminton, fishing, hiking, outdoor cooking, and kickball. A fun but exhausting day! A huge thank you to Den 5 who shared meals and made the weekend even more fun only having to cook one meal.

Summer Vacation!
First day of summer vacation and the kids were awake at 6:30 A.M. on their own. Well school's out for the summer! Rachael is now a 6th grader and Ethan a 4th grader! Now it is time for playing in the park, swimming, sleepovers with friends and sleeping in. Ethan went to a birthday party tonight (Happy Birthday Daniel) and Rachael helped a Girl Scout Troop bridge to Juniors.

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day. This morning we made Allen breakfast and gave him cards that the kids created. We had a relaxing afternoon barbecuing, hanging out by the pool with our friends the Benson's while the kids swam in the chilly pool. I realized after the kids went to bed that we did not take any pictures. I will need to take some this week. The kids have two days left of school!

Friday was a busy day!
Friday Ethan's class walked to the community pool to swim. They ate their lunch in the shade of the trees then had a great time on the two story slide and high dive board. In the meantime Rachael's class had a "movie" day. She saw a double feature with a pizza lunch as intermission. I think she saw The Princess and the Frog and Monster 's Inc (Shaggy Dog was the other feature). Then we headed over to our friends the Bernales for a bbq shabbat dinner before heading to the Drive-In to see Toy Story 3. Rachael's friend Julia's family met up with us at the Drive-In and fun was had by all.
