Three classes from Ethan's school went to the Folsom Zoo and Sanctuary today. After looking at all of the animals in the Sanctuary we took a nature walk down to the water. This picture is just Ethan's class on the bridge.

Soccer & Cub Scouts make for a busy weekend

It is 3:33 pm and 100 degrees outside. Whew! Ethan's game was at 10:30 am when it was hot, but not boiling out. We still had one player vomiting on the field. Rachael's team played at 1:30 when it was really getting hot. They played great and won 3 - 1.

Allen and Ethan missed Rachael's game for a Cub Scout outing at The Discovery Museum. Allen has the camera so when they get home I will load the pictures.

School Activities

Rachael's 5th grade class submitted art work in an Aaron Brother's art contest. Her drawing is at the Aaron Brother's on Laguna Blvd at Bruceville. On September 26 &27 vote for #14.

Tonight was Burgers and Books at their school. Great music, food, snow cones, balloon guy, jump houses and a great selection of books to buy. A fun fundraiser for their school. Lots of kids running around having fun and parents chatting with friends. Here they are finishing up their dinner.

We tried to go to Zuma Beach but they were having a triathlon on Saturday so we went farther up to Leo Carrillo Beach. Our friends Darcey, Jack, Mike, Jennie, Ryan and Joel joined us. It was a fun afternoon of playing on the sand. It was overcast, not too hot, but not cold with a little breeze before we left.

Star Award

We had a really busy weekend and I have some catching up to do. On Friday Rachael was awarded a "Star Award" at the school assembly. This time the theme was the Golden Rule, treat others as you would like to be treated. Good job Rachael!
