What a difference 6 months make!

I saw this picture from Ethan's birthday this year. I was surprised to see how many baby teeth he still had! If you scroll down to earlier this month you will see he has his two front teeth in and many more missing. The Tooth Fairy sure knows where our house is. :)

February 14, 1990 ~ November 20, 2008

This morning we helped our almost 19 year old cat move on to a better place where he will now be able to jump and play. As of yesterday he was unable to use his hind legs and stopped eating. Cookie who has aways loved children was a good pet to Rachael and Ethan. We will miss him.

Sunday November 16, 2008

Sunday was a busy day! Religious School, eat lunch in car as we go to Rachael's soccer game (make-up game from a rainy day) then to "I Made It" to meet up with her Girl Scout Troop and earn her ceramic patch! Here she is working on her masterpiece.

Ethan had his last soccer game and his party today. Rachael's team won 4 - 0!

Tonight Ethan's Cub Scout Den completed "Feats of Skill". They tossed balls, performed forward and backward rolls, walked a balance beam (plank of wood), elephant walked and more! As usual a fun filled night of boy stuff and snack.

We took pictures today at Rachael's soccer game. She did some good head shots with the ball during warm ups. That is mud on her face :).

It has been a long day.

My sister emailed us pictures of my nephew's pumpkins. He did a great job on John Wayne and the Joker!

Another Baby Tooth Comes Out

Ethan lost a tooth today! Can you tell which one? Today's was the upper right side next to his big front tooth. He has been wiggling that tooth constantly for a few days. He also asked us the tell him the truth, there is no Tooth Fairy... We told him the truth.

Rainy Day Soccer

November is Here!

The grass is really wet and the leaves are falling. It is time to take down the ghosts from the front trees and pull out the rake. Rachael's soccer game was cancelled this morning due to field conditions, but it sounds like Ethan's afternoon game is still on.

Trick or Treat!

It rained off and on while we trick or treated. It was fun night of trick or treating and hanging out with our good friends Indiana Jones and a Hippy.

Pumpkins

Ethan carved the face of his and Allen's on his own. Rachael had a little help from Allen with her idea of a witch hat and stars. It looks like a face, but you also see the witch hat which is cool!

Ethan wasn't very happy about sticking his hand in the slime of the pumpkin, but likes the seeds.

22nd Annual Bridge School Benefit

We went to The 22nd Annual Bridge School Benefit at the Shoreline Amphitheatre this Saturday. We saw Neil Young, Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Sarah McLauchlan, Wilco, Death Cab For Cutie, Cat Power and Band of Horses perform. We brought the kids and set up our picnic on the lawn. The kids dressed up as Darth Vader (even Darth can't eat dinner with a mask on) and a witch. We heard rumors that a Storm Trooper was nearby... We had a great time!

Ethan's Cub Scout Den went to a pumpkin patch Sunday afternoon. Here we are on the hayride.

Classroom Projects

Ethan presented his first "book in a bag". He put items relevent to his book inside the bag to pull out while he summarized the book for the class. Great Job Ethan!

Rachael's "California Cookie" project. We baked a cookie in the shape of California. She frosted the different regions and added chocolate chip mountains. The kisses are the big mountains (Shasta, Whitney, Lassen). The red hot is Sacramento. Looks like we live more in the central valley based on where she put it. :) It was a yummy project.
